YES! This crude photo is just to give you an idea of what our new "RiverLanding Community Center" could look like?
Instead of RiverLanding HomeOwners keeping our "very expensive" - "always vandalized" - "seldom-used" - and "potential-Lawsuit-just-waiting-to-happen" POOL?
It can be just this easy!
We "fill in" both our Pool and Spa with rocks, gravel, and sand (and the old Blocks from our Back Pool Wall), then top it off with concrete and even "Pool Decking" to match the surrounding area (the pool decking will also discourage kids from using their "Skate Boards!)
Remove ALL light Poles.....ALL cameras and camera poles.........ALL Pool pumps and Pool Motors ...Pool Ladders
We could keep the Restroom.
Remove Our Front Gate
and just remove the back wall of our Pool
The back wall of our Pool is very near the same level as our back asphalt parking lot!
And LEAVE ALL OUR PRESENT LANDSCAPING JUST THE WAY IT IS!
And I am just guessing the total square foot of "Useable YARD SALE Space"
at approximately 5,000 Square Feet - maybe up to 10,000 or more Square Feet?
Our "New Community Center" would lower our HOA costs immensely!
Putting our Annual HOA Dues from our current $300 to just $50 !
Our Community Center could be used by 100% of RiverLanding HomeOwners
52 WEEKS A YEAR!
We could have "Gigantic Yard Sales" drawing lots of "shoppers" every weekend!
at our new "Community Center" to non-RiverLanding HomeOwners/Residents!
Our "Community-Wide" Weekend Yard Sales would be the largest in HENDERSON!
Then our Annual HOA Dues would be ZERO!
We could actually "make money"!
Money to purchase several dozen "Security Cameras" that would be mounted on Homes where the owners Volunteer their home to be part of our "Neighborhood Watch Program"!
(Sign Me Up at 811 Schooner Dr!)
With several Volunteer HomeOwners participating -
it would be a "Neighborhood Watch Program ON STEROIDS!"
Making Our "Community" the safest in the state!
POSTSCRIPT 9-10-08
I just noticed a "Comment" left by Home Owner "Betsy":
I'm not so sure about a "Community Center", it does sound better than the pool problem which I'm tired of paying for. I wonder if a comunity park/picknic area might be a better use. Just a thought.
Hey! I think "Betsy" has a good point! Now that I think about it, those HomeOwners living near our Pool may not like the added cars and visitors that would result from us holding Weekend Yard Sales ? But then again, they may welcome it as opposed to the "Wild Beer Parties by Teenagers" being held at our Pool on an almost regular basis?
GIVE US YOUR THOUGHTS!
